First thing's first.

I've been accepted into JV Jazz Band for next year. I didn't even have to audition. :D

I have recorded a total of 49 songs from various Nintendo games, most of them come from Brawl, but I've got some from Rune Factory and Kirby and such. Just from Nintendo games. I intend to get to fifty by the end of today.

I put together 2 of the seven boxes at Sonoma Mountain for Rudger's Eagle Project.

I found out the Jazz Band is playing at the Eastside Band Festival as a separate group. I'll be leading them.

Progress in the back yard has been made. We've drilled the holes and, hopefully, will be pouring cement this coming Saturday.

Okay. I'm hungry.

Not too much has happened.

I was ordained a teacher last Sunday. :D

We've had practice all last week and a meet on Thursday for Track.

I've been attempting to record some songs on games from the Wii. We'll just say that that is still in progress.

So... yeah.

I leave in thirty minutes to get a ride up to go on back to Honor Band.

That is all.

Got some very good comments, which is saying a lot considering they are limited in what they can say.

I get the feeling the Mr. Eklund was playing a big part behind my nomination for Student Of The Month back in November, which is rather ironic, for me at least.

Back when we left for Utah to take [info]beisbeis to college, he was the only teacher that seemed to give me a rough time about "not telling him earlier", but we only had one A day since then. And the only thing that got me to like him was my grade for my Powerpoint, which was a straight A+. And even then, I wasn't sure if I liked him then. He was cool, but I wasn't sure if that was a good thing.

He made a very cool comment when I was telling his student teacher that I was going to be missing Thursday when he overheard that I was going to be gone because [info]gigiss and I would be going to MacWorld all day. And I have decided that I officially like him. :-)

Haha. Who could forget Mr. K's comment either...? He started to panic when I said I was going to be gone all day on Thursday. He thought I was going to be gone for Friday and Saturday as well since it is the Honor Band. And when I confirmed that was false, I almost started cracking up. His expression completely changed.

I saw Mr. Stanley on the way to Jazz. He nodded a hello (and a smile with it!), even though I'm not in his class. He's very humorous and very funny unless you're in trouble (which...er... has happened to me... before...). I can't say if I completely like him yet, though.

I saw Ms. Toal walking her dog after Jazz. That was very amusing. She's really cool.

Had Jazz. What can I say? It goes well and I think that, after a very good discussion with mom, I am going to continue taking band next year. I can't say anything more than that because I don't even know for myself.

P.E. goes well. Partner Dance is the unit and it's actually been enjoyable. We'll see how it goes for Friday.

And time to get ready for Macworld (HAVE YOU SEEN THE NEW MACBOOKS?!?!?!)

I think I've gotten back into the feel of things with regard to school.

We've started Partner Dance in P.E. I remember last year I was awesome at just regular dance and got an overall A+ for that unit. Partner dance, for a first day perspective, it somewhat the same, but it gives a tad bit difference that still proved to be a challenge.

Jazz Band is going extremely well. I soloed three times today. We're going to be playing a Miles Davis tune that I soloed on today. I won't be necessarily soloing for that song in the performance, but I feel a lot more comfortable about soloing in that song for rehearsal or performance. It goes well.

I haven't looked over that stuff for SCHB. Probably should do that soon.

Okay. More soon, but time for bed.

So, I think it's fair to say that this year's Christmas Tree Pick-up was officially the worst one ever, that I have encountered at least.

We've had it rain before when we're picking up tree, but nothing to this effect. It was pouring for more than half of the pick-up. We even saw some lightning flashes every now and then.

We had 23 trees to pick up. On average, we got about 3 trees per load and if we were crazy, we got 4, which, incidentally, happened quite often. We had to tie it down and/or use the saw to cut it in half though before we attempted such a feat.

We finished around 12:30. It is done.

Other than that, nothing else has really happened today. Went on a bike ride to Sholenberger... in the pouring rain...

I finished up my third song that I've created using the loops on Garageband. It's actually kinda fun to do something other than DS or Wii.

I also finished up an assignment for Algebra that we were supposed to finish over break today. It actually looks nice.

I'm disappointed, however, because I'm falling short of my resolution for the New Year to do homework the day it's assigned. I will be better about this.

Tomorrow, I will practice my trumpet, find my P.E. clothes that seem to have gone into hiding, and pretty much get everything ready to go back to school.

Whoo. Where to begin?

Thursday and Friday were the Elementary School tours. I had a demo on Friday and the Jazz played for two of the four concerts, both of which I soloed in. I'm grateful for opportunities like this that boost my confidence to the max and I've realized that it hasn't been so hard to do it anymore. It the short weeks that I have taken the class, I believe I have significantly gained something from it.

And as a result, I have plenty of make-up homework that I haven't quite started on that may in fact be due on Monday. Some of which I can't even start because I don't have and because I'm unaware of the assignment.

I feel guilty about this since I asked mom to force me to get my homework done on Saturday so I can fly free on Sunday. However, not that some of this should've taken precedence, I did have the Christmas Tree Flier Pick-Up Distribution this morning, which went well. We finished at 11:30.

I didn't really eat breakfast before, which was a huge mistake. I got a headache. Bunge's delicious 12:00 breakfast mess was a significant way to stall it, but only stall it. I tried to take my mind off of it, convincing myself that a glass of water is all that would be necessary. By 2, I was miserable. I went to the bathroom, desperately looking for some pain reliever and discovered that the ibuprofen was out, except for 2 gell caps. I can't swallow those without killing myself so I found some tylonel meltaways (Haha. Funny that.) and got in the tub.

I woke up later when mom announced she was going to run some errands, one of which included Gamestop. She asked if I wanted to go. I wanted to, but I felt rather sick even after the medication. However, Gigiss came in the the bottle of ibuprofen he had in his bag that he found and I swallowed one of those and went with her. It was gone by the time we reached the outlet malls.

We got Brain Age 2, my last Christmas present, at Gamestop. It's sad that I know about all of this, but hey. The new Fire Emblem game was for Wii and therefore is more expensive, even for Amazon. So I figured that since Brain Age is a 1-8 multiplayer game using one card, it'd be cool to get it.

We got back around 5:30. Most of the day gone.

I don't know what it was, but I was not up to doing homework at all. *sigh* Now I'm mad at myself for being so reckless.

I will gain progress on Algebra tonight- whether or not I finish it is still in question, but I will gain ground before I hit the sack.

It is 9:53. Time to get to work.

Today was very successful.

Had English. Got assigned some homework today that I thought was due today because I wasn't there on Thursday. *sigh*

Went to band and got our results from Analy. Did excellent, although there is always room for improvement.

We also got some songs for our elementary school tour that we had for the ESBF last year, except one, Wipe Out. I think this year will be a good one.

Had History. Nothing too special.

The main highlight today was the first Jazz Band meet, which went excellent. We're moving fast though. We've got method books and scales and a piece of music on the first day, which is good. We're not dawdling and we're getting work done. Klemenok automatically put me on 1st. For jazz, we've got 1 first, 1 second, 2 thirds and 2 fourths, so we'll see how that'll work out this year.

And our folders are very trippy. So awesome. I'll have to get a picture of them soon. They are quite righteous.

My only regret is that I wish I did Jazz last year...

This entry is completely dedicated to the fact that I am currently listening to a song that is completely and stupidly hilarious. It may also be funny to note that I came accross this by using the shuffling feature on Zar'roc.

Rockers, deserts, wall paper, and patches

Well, Gigiss and Bunge are off and we wish them the best.

I sold my Rocker today on Craigslist. I had always done it wrong when I posted it and I had put it on about 5 times in the past with no response. I needed to confirm my posting and my mother pointed that out to me today. Less than two hours later, I received a phone call. He's picking it up on Monday for twenty-five bocks for lolos... er, no. Me.

On top of that, I put my old bike on Craigslist since I had grown out of. No response yet, but I'm not giving up hope.

Man, that raspberry crumble that mom just made sure gives me memories of the 50 miler... good memories. Almost exactly the same, just this time, we had some extra raspberries. Couldn't get a photo of it unfortunately, as it was scarffed down, but next time... next time...

I finished tearing of the wall paper in the bathroom. We intend to paint it before the campers come home. Mom started painting the ceiling so I had to take off the vent and I believe she finished. Wahoo.

I sewed on my Bugler patch onto my scout shirt finally and now I can tell Russ M.,"Yes! I have sewn on a patch to my scout shirt! And my mom didn't help at all! Shut up finally about it!"

Ah, crap! Someone just called about the bike and asked what kind of bike it was (boy or girl). Dang... They have a... girl... obviously...

Oh! I went to Grandpa's on Tuesday and we built the frames for the future decks. Got it all done in four hours, and we made sure it was square and that it wasn't going to fall apart. This, I must say, I am proud of. I've never done something like that and now I have some experience for our deck.

I love the music group Boston...

I suddenly have the urge to go backpacking. I want to go to somewhere this summer one more time, but seeing that school starts in three weeks, we'll see how realistic that is.

I am having an issue. And I need some advice, if you can spare any. Our family will be going to Utah while school is in session to see Beis off to his dorm and get his books, etc. But (depending what my schedule is for the upcoming year), I'll be missing three days of school and I'll be wiped out for one more. Missing a day of P.E. can lower my grade by a letter and a half and if I am missing two, it can fail me. Anyways, I'm trying to decide if I should go to Utah or just stay here. Bunge is going to be staying, but I don't have a ride to school, there and back. Anyways, anyone? Any advice? Please?

Mom got mad at me when I announced that I didn't think I could go since we suddenly changed the dates. I don't want to disappoint anyone and I most certainly want to go, but make-up for P.E. is twice as bad as it would be actually being in the class, and it is bad to be in class as is.

I'm just lost right now. I'm not sure what to do...

So, the fifty miler is (hopefully) on Friday. We changed the date at our last meeting so that we could easily get up the next morning, put everything away, and start hiking relatively early because if we left on Saturday, it'd be 1:00 or so before we got to Yosemitie. This way, we have everything we need and we would be getting to our campsite before we would start hiking had we left early that day. The total of miles we'll be hiking for it is 55.3- I calculataed it when we had our meeting. On one day we gain over 1,000 feet in elevation in a little more than 5 miles. That's officially our most rigorous day.

We're going to pick up tickets for Order of the Phoenix tonight. Our family decided that it was in everybody's interest to just forget about midnight showing. Regardless, [info]beisbeis and I are going before we leave. In fact, Colt, I heard your family wasn't going to midnight... right? Well, you should get your guys' tickets for Thursday and for whatever time. Tell Mads to talk to Bunge about it; she knows everything. :P

I actually have been getting progress on the old virtual console game that I purchased a while ago. It's called The legend of Zelda: A link to the past. I just got stuck again though, so yeah. Bug thought it was funny that it was called "a link to the past".

We got Spirited Away today on Netflix. It's okay. My favorite Miyazaki movie is still Castle in the Sky. In fact, I just learned the piano music for it, so... wOOt.

Somehow, I ended up on the other side of my bed today right before I woke up... hmmm...

And now, I look back at the things I have accomplished.

I was able to finish a science packet assigned over the weekend that is due tomorrow. That I didn't start until today. Alright! So I was cocky! I admit it. I started a little late. But I was able to finish it in about three hours. It was confusing... But I learned a valuable lesson: never start a science packet late. Thankfully, I was able to finish it. :D

I was unsuccessful when I went to Kohl's with Bunge and mother to look for a new jacket because my mother thinks it's freezing in the morning (I don't wear a jacket; my main clothes are jeans, short sleeve shirt, and the other "essentials." Even with Bunge, I was humiliated when we walked out of Kohl's with nothing but shirt for her.

I want to be called as Bugler in our scout troop. But I'm trying to figure out a way to make it so I can apply that calling to my requirements. If I were bugler, the only way I could really earn the credit is if I played at a campout. I was thinking about playing at every COH, but our campouts are not as scarce as those. Playing every Tuesday just seems awkward, mainly because we don't take the flags out to a real ceremony... and the only people listening would be the other scouts, who could care less. But, as a last resort, maybe...

Speaking of music, I am apparently playing every Tuesday for Mutual now on the Piano. Ugh... I felt guilty after last night's affair seeing that we had to sing without a real instrument. They wanted me to play. I refused. I CANNOT improvise. Anyway...

Well, I guess I better go. I should prably get off my father's laptop soon...

Okay. So it started out today when I got all mad because Mom wouldn't let me in her shower. >:( Then I remembered that something awesome would happen today. :-) Beisbeis came to our school with all the Casa Jazz Band and played wonderfully! He even had a solo that was awesome. I am so going into jazz band next year!

We had a good P.E.

And we went home.
